Bring ideas to life.

Do you find an idea compelling and want to make it real?

Whether you are a company, a startup, an institution, or you just have the right skills to turn an idea into a product, this is your chance to take action and make a positive impact!

All the Design for Emergency seed ideas are shared through the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. This means that you are free to use, modify, and develop them. You’ll just have to credit the authors.

We also ask you to let us know if you are developing an idea by filling in the form in this page, so we can mark it as ‘in development’, and notify the authors (you are free to contact them yourself too).

Why open design and CC license?

We chose this license because, in this particular situation, we would like to encourage the rapid implementation of new solutions and services by any person or entity that has the means to do it. Our goal is to create an open platform where anyone can contribute and build on each other’s ideas. We believe that the community of designers and developers can truly make an impact and help people during this crisis. By working collaboratively, and offering our time, ideas and skills, we can try to improve the lives of all people who are facing this unprecedented situation.

What happens when someone notifies us about an idea being developed?

We will mark the idea as ‘in development’ on the platform. Of course, an idea can be developed by more than one subject simultaneously, following a completely open approach.

If you want to develop a seed idea, please notify us through the form below.
